Re: My Active Sport!

Im not too sure, as halfords sometimes arent very good at getting a correct match. I think I might get a spray place to do mine, should be a better match right.

Re: My Active Sport!

The arch gap is stupidly big as standard on them. Putting 17's on wont help that matter either.

With spraying the handles you could either take the door cards off then take the handles off, sand them, primer them and spray them then refit. Or mask them up on the car and cover the side of the car in newspaper to avoid over spray and spray them on the car if you wanted.

So it isnt necessary to sand and prime them? Just straight black spray?

Re: My Active Sport!

Don't kid yourself that the arch gap will be fine on 17s. It will be high.

The first thing I did to my GP was lower it.

sorry no my bad. Sand and prime them because if you dont sand then you will have a textured finish because of the plastice you are spraying straight onto. Sand them then plastic primer them and then let that dry and start spraying even coats and leave for an hour or so to dry and harden between coats. I think there is a guide in the mk2 section about spraying handles and mirrors. Should just be able to lift it straight from that over to the grande ones.
