What is taking Fiat so long???!!!!

Does anybody have any info on when the series 2 grande punto details will be on the website? I heard it would be on the week commencing the 9th june, but now we're on the week commencing the 16th june, and still nothing!

Its a really pain in the ass, cause I wanted to see what colours, options etc I can get before ordering it

Re: What is taking Fiat so long???!!!!

Haha, both very true. I cant belive how much the dealer is tryna rip me off too! They wont budge on full price for a GPS 1.4 T-Jet 120, yet if i get the boat to England, I can get it for £9595 with options added on. (I Live in N.I.)

I mite hafta change my phone number too. They phone me every 30 mins!! Its like I have a stalker or sumthin.

Purplehaze were abouts in NI are you from. Im down in Londonderry and Roadside Fiat in coleraine matched the price I could get my car brand new in England. I got just under 3k off the price of my Mjet brand new, so I would definitely recommend them!

What dealership are you dealing with?

Re: What is taking Fiat so long???!!!!

sorry for the late reply. Im in Newtownards. Tried going to Downeys but they were a complete joke. They didnt even have any sales people around to talk to. Just an accountant who tried to tell me things about the car he didnt even know. Then went to Mervyn Stewart who wouldnt budge from the forecourt price. Whats the place called you went to? Im going to Londonderry on the 27th to watch the derry city v st. pats game, so might call in to see wot they can offer me

Re: What is taking Fiat so long???!!!!

The sales man I dealt with was called Iain. When I told them I could get the Grande punto M-jet in England for £10,493 brand new, £11,250 when i went for my options he said he couldnt match it, but he rang me back a few days later and said he can match that no problem The way I look at it if one Main UK Fiat dealer can afford to give you that deal then they all can.

So it saved me about £500 quid all together by the time i would have drove my Citroen C2 over to england and the Fiat back etc. Have you had a drive in one yet?

Re: What is taking Fiat so long???!!!!

nah, havent driven one yet. Just sat in one when I was at Mervyn Stewart. They only had one sporting there, and it was sold, to be picked up that afternoon, so couldnt get a drive in one. Might wait until they phone me again, and do the same thing you did, and see what they say.

Had a look on the roadside garages website there too, and see they have a white sporting in the showroom!! Its white im after, altho im not keen on the diesel.

Plus, i wanna see what the series 2 options are like before making any decisions.
