GSR or K&N?

hi, i've been nosing at induction kits, and yeah , the gsr kit does sound nice, especially with the choice of colours, but at £100 more than the K&N, is it worth it? would like to know what extra gains you guys are getting from either kit, to help me make my mind up!!

Re: GSR or K&N?

GSR is + power and + sound

K&N is negligable power either way and no sound...

Depends if you just want to be able to say you've got an induction kit or if you actually want some gains really...stupid question but most people don't expect much other than looks from the kits anyway...the GSR isn't quite as showy (other than a big coloured pipe) but its the seriously amazing!

Re: GSR or K&N?

you're welcome mate...everyone thinks we plug GSR but its only from experience lol. i'm only induction at the moment 'cos they can't remap my car cos of the stupid ECU!! and i promise you it makes a difference!

This is what my car sounds like after the GSR has been fitted...and it has no exhaust...just a standard 1.4 16v! you can't see the power obviously but i've got 9bhp more and **** loads more low down torque...just from the induction! Has taken about 1.5/2 seconds off my 0-60 time its that good!!!

Re: GSR or K&N?

glad you liked the video

well i had mine fitted at the Red Dot rolling road day but like Dave said you can get them posted...anyone who isn't far from brum is welcome to some help if they want to get it posted and need a hand doing the fitting? I've had mine off and on a fair few times now and its not a big deal very well engineered!

Well i rang my insurance and they basically laughed...but i'm on a fleet policy so i don't know how it defers...They basically weren't interested and told me there wasn't a section on the computer for air filters so not to worry lol. Can't imagine it should do too much to your insurance but you never know i guess...

...only thing i would be careful is warentee work...i take mine off and fit my standard airbox whenever it goes back into the dealer just so they don't cause me grief
