I own a Grande Punto 2008. when I attempt to put windscreen wash fluid in. It pours out on to the floor. I have tried to take the filter out but the same keeps happening. Any ideas on how to keep the fluid in?

Oh how annoying is that little filter thingy in the washer bottle! I always end up taking it out when filling mine up. Does anyone know if it actually serves any purpose?
it stops things getting in!
Including the top-up water!
It is easy enough to remove the filter, not rocket science to work it out. The water bottle is soooooooo small though, it really does not take much to fill it. On a really ****ty wet day I can empty it on the way to work.

Can't speak for the turbo engines, but the 1.2 engine bay is almost entirely made up of empty space.
