Unhappy Blisters Appearing underneathe plastic covers on door pillars

Hi Guys,

My mother has just invested in a brand new Grande Punto 1.2 Active with a truck load of optional extras slung in, but we have noticed a fault on the outside of the car that has appeared within the last week.

Where the door meets the central pillar by the rear window there is a plastic/vinyl covering that has started to have large bubbles appearing in it, as if it's lifting underneath. I was wondering if anyone knew if this sort of thing was covered under the warranty, I have never seen any plastics fail ever on a fiat.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this fault with the Grande Punto. I will take some pictures and add them to the post next time I drive round there, but I was just curious to see if anyone else has had this defect.

Cheers,

Warren

it could be the vinyl hasn't stuck properly or it could be rust bubbling up if its a new car take it back and get them to sort it..

common fault on multiplas but no seen too many on GP's. Dealer will fit new vinyl strips for you but will probably have to go to bodyshop to get this done.
