In the footwell on the driver side you will see a rectangular piece of black plastic close to the door. If you slide it off you will find the VIN underneath etched into floor.

Funny you say that - the repairer was looking for the ID plate and said its possibly inside the boot under the board (couldn't check on the spot as there was so much crap in the boot).

Theres one pop riveted to the boot floor and one inside that black sliding plastic thing down next to the driver seat

drivers floor side is just VIN number, one in boot is full chassis plate.
