Re: scratch

Some f****r did the same to me, right outside my house. A 10 inch long key mark down the rear quarter panel, was raging. I went to halfords and got a touch up stick made up, took a wee while to get it to blend in but plenty of polish sorted that out. I'll try n get a before/after pic up soon as.

Re: scratch

If its brand new i would take it to a body shop and let them work there magic on it.... but thats just me - the halfords colour stick sounds good just dont know if i would on a brand new car

Re: scratch

They're no hassle at all, just take along the paint code n u can get on made there n then. Takes a bit of time to get it right but you wouldn't even know I had a scratch before. Good luck

Re: scratch

either try polishing it out, but generally the rule of thumb is that if you can feel it with your nail it aint gonna polish... get some megs scratch-X tho, great stuff and works for modern paint, unlike t-cut. halfords arent really good at colour matching... but its never just a case of dab it on and jobs done.. you have to polish the area to blend the paint in so it doesnt look obvious. if its a massive scratch.... i suggest body shop

Dentmasters! Do it at a place of your choice and the work of theirs I have seen is very good.

Re: scratch

hey atleast you don't have a pellet dent in your drivers door like me, i can't get the dent man to fix it because the metal is stretched, has to goto the body shop, going to cost about £300+vat to fix.

Doesnt matter they will still do a top job, worth the cost IMO but cheaper than a bodyshop. And FAR more convenient too!
