Yes it is an option with the GP sportin and no i don't think it can be 'retro' fitted.

Ah rite, a mate with a Fabia VRS bought the stalk from Skoda wired it up and used VAGcom to enable the ECU and his works swimmingly

Thats abit too intense for me, T will be along shortly to put me right or wrong.

I would assume a different ECU would be required,never seen wiring for switch aswell.

ok im on page 4 of it, as its going on about ESP, which my car has, are we in the same position as Stilos, ie, its all already there and just needs a stalk to activate it?

interesting read, are GPS`s pre wired? I would imagine so if its an option

I have cruise control,it is an extra stalk below the indicator stalk on the steering column so I wouldn't have thought it could be fitted retrospectively,however there are after market cruise kits available not neccessarily for the GP but for any vehicle,put it into google and see what it brings up,I hope this helps,john

I expect it's the same as the Stilo - new column stalks, and wire them to the ECU. The Stilo's had the cruise control 'program' already installed, and it would work if the switches were in. The only thing that wouldn't work was the dash light, but since the Stilo had a "ON/OFF" switch on the stalk, I didn't find it necessary.

I see they are only £98 - much cheaper than the Stilo's.

I have mine fitted by an authorised dealer in Greece
costs 200 euros, mine was pre-wired and took about 3 hours,
they changed the steering wheel column the new one had the cc stick:slayer:

so dealers can do it?

someone must know if the GP can have cruise added afterwards, a lad I know added the stalk to his 1.9 seat ibiza tdi and used vag com to tell the body computer it was installed and another mate added it to his 1.3 cdti corsa C

ive had the steering cowel off to look for wires but I cant see any, now what im thinking is....... is the stalk attatched to the indicator stalk?

after much searching I could only find a guide on the Fiat Stilo, it works on them so by rights it must work on the GP
