New version?!

Hi guys,

Looking a t going back in March for a newer car,

Was wondering if i am am gonna see much difference in switching to a diesel?

I say this as i drive 400 miles a week to work, and a few work colleagues are advising me to switch..

19000+ miles so far this year!!!!!

I don't need major speed increase, so that cuts the requirement for a huge engine.

I also currently drive a 1.2 active (07 plate).

Any help'd be great,

Carl.

Re: New version?!

Using the claimed mpg figures over 20,000 miles;

1.2 petrol will require 418 gallons or £1,934 @ 101.9 per litre
1.3 diesel will require 318 gallons or £1,533 @ 105.9 per litre

Re: New version?!

will look into that then...

as i said, it's due to driving 400 miles, but if it would save me close to £35 a month (Average - book figures) it speaks for itself really...

Time to see what kind of deal i can get now.... Am gonna shop around to force their hand re: prices etc....

Does anyone know how much the tax is on the 1.3?
