If you plan to drill a standard shelf your going to have a job as there is a steel reinforcing bar across the center along the full width of the shelf..

As for your faglighter its probably a fuse in the engine bay fuse box its a yellow 20 A fuse its been covered before use the search

hey took my car t be checked cig lighter fixed fuse had gone, went out later in the day put my in car phonecharger in my cig lighter and it appears to of blown the fuse again,at least i know now the cause and what t replace

common thing with phone chargers the side contacts are too close to the end so they short on the Bi-metal "strip" which retains the fag lighter in the on position until its up to temperature. If you dont use the fag lighter to light a fag remove the Bi metal (not had to do it on mine but did it on my old KA) and that solves the problem (but then the lighter wont lock down)

did they show you which fuse it was??

The metal bar on the parcel shelf doesnt make the job impossible I (my mate) managed to get through it with a Jigsaw.
