Question about heated seats

Hello Ive just bought a used 1.9 JTD punto sporting, its carrabian orange, with the sky dome, full leather and blue and me kit and all I can say is what a car! Im well impressed

Question is, are the heated seats in these pre wired, I was thinking espesially if I have the leather they would be,

I was hoping it would be a case of finding the looms fitting 2 switches then maybe getting someone to do the ECU

Yes or No......

Good forum by the way its a good read.

That sounds perfect! Where did you get them fitted and (if you don't mind telling) how much did they cost?

My GP leather seats are gorgeous, but fookin freeeezin in a morning -- and the "add on" heated seat covers from Maplin and the like look naff... I'd rather have a nifty little switch and a warm bum!

Thanks

Re: Question about heated seats

well my first car was a Vauxhall corsa, I put Cavilier Leathers in it, the Cav leathers had the heater elements already inside despite the cav i got them out not having the heated option,

It would make sense for fiat to make the seats with the elements in the seat either way then charge for the privilage of connecting them up

Re: Question about heated seats

If it's do-able, i want them... the last two cars I had had heated seats and I miss them in this cold weather.

I don't sit naked in my car so my leather isn't that cold

Re: Question about heated seats

In Norway we get the GP factory prepared for cold climate. That includes heated seats - both leather and textile. The engine has got some modifications - dont know exactly what these are but I think they include a stronger battery and some extra oil heating. What I like the most is the electrical pre-heater for the climate system, giving hot air almost from the moment you turn the key. All in all, the GP is an excellent winter car.

The climate here - at least in southern Norway - isnt that much colder than in the UK, so maybe you should lobby for these modifications.
