General Pollen filter

General Pollen filter

It will be fitted in the heater air-intake box. Which assuming its located in a similar place to previous cars I have owned will be mounted on the firewall. I guess if you lift the black plastic surround at the base of the windscreen you will find it in that area.

Well actually......watcha do is:
Get over to the passenger side footwell. There is a horizontal piece of plastic trim that runs alongside the transmission tunnel....above where your right foot would be. This is the piece of trim that 'pops' out. It is split just over half way.....if you get your finger and run it along the bottom where it contacts the carpet you will come to the join. At this point pull it. There are 2 other points where it un pops.
Now comes the slightly 'Huddini' contortion thing....you've got to be over on the passenger side, with the door open and kneeling on the ground with your head in the footwell, looking at the very back part.
You will see the white coloured heater mechanism and a couple of silver metal a/c pipes. To the side of this unit running vertically along is a black plastic strip about half an inch wide.
This is the cover for the pollen filter.....unhook the bottom latch.....then unhook the cover from the top latch.....remove the cover....about 16" in length......pull the white, flexible pollen filter out.
It's a bit of a squeeze and you kind of have to tug and twist and bend and pull it because the space is so confined, but the filter is tough and doesn't rip or tear.
Replace the filter and then just fit in reverse remembering to 'hook' the cover over the top latch b4 clicking the bottom one (fiddly and nasty job!).....Once you've done it it's real easy....it's just the lack of space that makes it an unpleasant job.

oooo, could be a problem if its a tight fit because i've got dual controls there as well, that i'm sure will complicate things, even less space.thank you for your info.john
