Can't say I'm desperate to, but if the price is right and could get a good enough deal then maybe.

Not sure I want the 'Abarth' look is quite different from the 'classy' look of the Sporting.

Looks alot better imo, you can tell it's more performance orientated, nice wheels, nicer bodywork, nicer seats and interior.

I'd take the looks over the so called 'classy' look anyday.

Though theres no chance I will ever be buying the 155 version, too slow, and the 180 is overpriced so it looks like the sporting is staying for now.

Id only consider it if they have a high performance diesel too. The 1.9 8v is a bit weedy compared to more modern 16v units. Would be nice for them to do a 16v diesel for the abarth .

I can see exactly where you are coming from but it doesn't seem right to see an abarth come past that sounds like a bus, mind you, renault do a DCI 175 which looks like the megane 225 and seat do the leon FR which is a diesel, VW do the golf GT with a 170bhp lump in and vauxhall make the astra 888 with a 200bhp diesel engine, maybe fiat should join the market considering the multijet engine is essentially good.

Re: whos trading up for the abarth?

I should most definately be getting one at some point next year. . . hopefully. It would probably be the 155bhp version though unless insurance isn't much more. If they announce a high power diesel unit then id consider that they could use the twin turbo unit thats just been put into the 9-3

Re: whos trading up for the abarth?

i will be trading mine in i should get about 7.5 maybe 8k as i have only done 8000 miles but i have all the extras aswell so that bumps my trade in value up and my dealer has confirmed that to me plus on the abarth i dont want all the gizmos like the bluetooth and skydome as i want a dvd in it as its hard when you cant change the sterio when you have the bluetooth and steering wheel controls

also i will be having the essesse kit on it with the uprated bhp of 180 and then mapped to 200 + lets show santa pod what abarth is all about

The essesse 180bhp is already tuned which will create difficulties getting alot more power from it. The 155 will be very tuneable. It's the same with other cars ie. mini JCW is already a tuned version of the cooper s therefore more difficult to get big amounts of power.

And if you pay £2000 (i think) for the extra 25bhp then your crazy, just tune the 155bhp abarth to 180bhp of the essesse. then with the money you save you can have some extras.
