Re: what can i drop in my gp?

you lower the CR to allow you to increase it with a turbo/supercharger
my 1st question is how old are you
as even me being the wrong side of 61 had some insurers refusing to cover an aftermarket turbo conversion

Re: what can i drop in my gp?

best thing to do is sell up and buy a sporting.

1. no fussing around changing engines.
2. probably be cheaper than new engine etc
3. it will be quicker than modifing your engine.
4. insurance will be less

get a 130 sporting mjet and then remap it be more than double the power of your 1.4

I think the question ought to be "What can I throw out of my GP?". It is cheaper to throw out all the things you don't need than spend a lot of money on it unneccessarily. You could start with the spare wheel, the carpets and soundproofing (is there any?), the glovebox and the centre console. No one will want to travel in the car afterwards so you could throw out the passenger seats. The list is endless!

Then I don't think an engine conversion is up your street really.

If your a noob to engines then how do you know you have the money for an engine conversion? How will you diagnose the imminent problems you will have with it after the conversion is done?

If you want something faster and different and have the money and don't want a diesel then buy a different car altogether.

At the age of 19, insurance companies will be rubbing their hands together
