grande punto handbrake cable adjustment

can any one please tell me how to adjust the handbreak cable on a grande punto 1.9 sporting thanks

just pull up the cover behind the handbrake...its tight but will lift up

So 'T' - you're saying that the adjustment to the handbrake can be done INSIDE the car and all you have to do is pull the back cover off - right?

.......Well I just don't see how that whole plastic surround pulls up and off

p.s. I said cover behind the handbrake....either that or I been doing it wrong last 2 years

So all that time spent down at the gym isn't enough....oh well porridge it is then.
The handbrake lever on a G. Punto is covered in a flexible vinyl cover which moves up and down with the handbrake lever....the whole thing is surrounded by a hard black plastic moulding with a cup/bottle holder to the rear of the handbrake.

Does one remove the flexible vinyl cover?

Its not unusual, it was the same in my mk2, just remove the ashtray behind the lever.
