brakes

im not an expert on cars by the way.my brakes are screeching like crazy. what can i do to stop them or do I have to take it in to the dealers for them to have a look at them?

what car is it exactly active, dinamic, sporting elegencia ??

and is it screeching in reverse, when going forward lightly braking?

is it the fronts or the rears making noise?

is the car in warranty?

my rear brakes absolutly squeel like bitch when i brake in reverse braking lightly! Although its not all the time, mine goes in on monday for them to take the wheels off and ....................scratch there heads

A good dealer will sort this immediately. Known problem easily sorted under Warranty.

got back today and they need to order in a damper kit and get it balanced but its all booked in for next week now!

also needs a lamba sensor aswell

do anybody know if abarth calipers (brembo 2 piston) will fit my tjet? I ask because abarth has 305 diameter disks (front) while mine has 286mm.
oh and one more thing do anybody know how much this will cost?

Mine have started to squeal under light braking going forwards and most speeds. I have yet to have to time to worry about it. Being as ignorant about these things as I am, I am unsure whether they need new pads or they are dirty.

sounds the same as mine, if its light braking! get it sorted whilst its under warrenty! I thought it might have been just the brakes/pads dirty/rusty as the car had set for 2 weeks before i picked it up.

hi there im having the same problem my brakes are screeching at slow speed, its a 1.4 active sport GP just over a year old, i went to the fiat dealer and he said the brake warranty is only 6months, is this correct, also , twice this has happened, i have turned on my engine to find all the needles pointi to zero, ie no revs no fule no speed and they stay that way while driving, it also says air bags de not active any ideas?
