New Car - 1st Diesel - Hard to get used to

had my 1.9 sporting about 5 days now and still getting used to driving it of course. i feel like i'm forever changing gear and its weird having 6 gears i know the 6th gear is generally for motorway crusing but just thought i would post a thread and let ya know how i was getting on. car is v responsive in gears and over-taking is a breeze. plus the new orleans blue is a gr8 colour cos it looks clean even when its dirty, however its a pain in the ass having bk discs as all 4 wheels seem forever filthy haha. still its a pretty cool car.

There should be hardly any pad material wearing at the back. 20% effort tops goes through the rears. Maybe it's the fact that there are shiney discs behind the rear wheels making them look dirty compared to rusty drums?

Re: New Car - 1st Diesel - Hard to get used to

Glad your enjoying the car mate. As jassyo says it will loosen up massively over time. Mine has done just over 4k now and is still getting better. The re-map helps the car no end, especially in 1st. Enjoy the car a bit and get used to it and then think about the re-map.
