Re: Wheel Problems,130 Sporting

Yep - i am having these problems right now. The dealer said they would respray them, but when the alloy wheel man came along, he couldn't do them as the centres where they are corroding are not sprayed, they are polished and requires specialist equipment to sort them out. The dealer has agreed that they will order me a new set of alloys. This was done at the Havant (Portsmouth) dealership.

Should get my new alloys this week.

Re: Wheel Problems,130 Sporting

First time that they've been recorded, HA!

Mine are the same, currently waiting for someone from fiat to look at them to advise the dealer what to do.

There's a thread all about it somewhere around here.

EDIT: Here's the link. http://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punt...gs-alloys.html

Re: Wheel Problems,130 Sporting

From what i recall this is a known problem and is yet to be sorted, thats partly why i had mine painted. As far as im concerned they should be replaced anyway under warranty although this is obviously going to be costly for Fiat. I would phone another dealer as though you were trying to purchase the wheels as an option and see if they are available then. Its strange how when you prepared to pay £800 or so how they magically appear, lol.

Re: Wheel Problems,130 Sporting

Theres a surprise. Have you thought about doing what i suggested. Phone another local dealer and see if they can get hold of them as an accessory. If they can then you know that your dealer is messing you about.

Re: Wheel Problems,130 Sporting

sounds good, as said in the other thread about the alloys it is good that fiat are replacing the ones that are corroding! but must be expensive for them.

Sorry to hear that mate. This is a prime example of why Fiat need to get themselves and their dealers sorted out because as much as they are designing beautiful cars they are being let down massively by faults and poor aftersales support.

I would love for someone from Fiat HQ to have a read through this forum, maybe then they would realise exactly what they are dealing with.
