slight whif of hot oil

coming up for 1000 miles in my gp 1.9 i get a slight whif of hot or burning oil when i stop in traffic or a roundabourt its like the car in front is puffing blue smoke but its seems to be coming from my fiat its almost as though when i stop the airflow stops and the car sucks in the smell of hot oil local dealer has removed under tray and we had a good look no detectable oils leaks any ideas

Check your oil level.

Done that several times even though its hard to tell as oil is so new can hardly make out level on dipstick its seem that its still pretty much full if there is a oil leak its only a few drops but can still give of a smell.i was wondering if there is a breather pipe?

All I can suggest is trying to source the point of it by sitting with the bonnet open and the car securely parked.

Can you wiff the smell through your air vents, or with windows open?

I had the same when mine was new.. It stopped doing this at about 2000km.
I had openned a thread asking the same question as you and several people responded that they had the same problem but it went away after a couple thousant km.

Exactly the same happened on my 1.2 Active. As it has passed 2000 miles the smell has gone, I suspect a bit of a spill or overfill.
