| Cold Air Induction Problems HELLO PPL. HOPE U CAN HELP ME OUT ON THIS 1 AS QUITE A FEW OF U HAVE DONE THIS. I HAVE RESENTLY INSTALLED AN INDUCTION KIT ON MY 1.4 16V GP AND IT STARTED VERY WELL. I HAD POWER GAIN AND BETTER UPTAKE THROUGH THE REV RANGE. SCREAMED PAST 5,000 NO PROB. BUT IN THE LAST FEW DAYS IT SEEMS FLAT IN MID REVS, WHICH ONLY HAPPENS NOW AND THEN. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT MITE B SUCKING WARM AIR FROM THE MANIFOLD/ENGINE OR RADIATOR, SO I HAVE REPOSITIONED THE FILTER. ANY HELP WOULD BE GLADLY WELCOMED

| Re: Cold Air Induction Problems Could be as you said, as the engine is getting warmer its sucking in hotter air. when you say the midrange are you giving it much stick or not really? could just be because of the design of the air filter

| Re: Cold Air Induction Problems Do the 1.4's have a hot wire MAF sensor? if so this could be having a strop due to the oil from the induction kit being deposited on it... Im no mechainic but have read about this causing expensive problems that wont be covered by your warenty ...

| Re: Cold Air Induction Problems WHAT FIAT DONT KNOW CANT HARM IT MAKES NO DIFF IF IM SCREWING IT OR TINKERING ABOUT. IT JUST GOES BLURRRRRRR WHEN I PUT MY FOOT DOWN. THE FILTER IS A PIPER-X WHICH IS FOAM SO THERES NOT REALLY A PROBLEM WITH THE OIL ON IT AS IVE READ THAT ALSO. I HAVE ALSO HEARD THAT IF U USE A LIGHT PENATRATING OIL INSTEAD OF FILTER OIL, IT INCREASES THE AIRFLOW WITH IT BEING A LIGHTER SOULTION. BUT I HAVENT DARED TO DO IT. AS FOR THE K&N LINK CHEERS, BUT IVE HAD ONE OF THEM PIPES ON MY LAST CAR WHICH WAS A NOVA , AND IT DID NAFF ALL. U REALLY NEED A SEALED UNIT, IT WILL STILL B SUCKIN THAT WARM STUFF IN.
