Aux??

(There are a couple of threads on AUX but can't find the basic level stuff..)

What is it? Google says "Auxillary. Generally used as an extra input for a device such as an add-on CD player/changer, MP3 player, or other audio (line level) input." and the GP sound system doesn't even mention it

Reason I ask is because I've noticed my GP's sound system has been acting a little odd lately. For example, with a CD playing and if I press the CD button, it just keeps displaying "AUX" - is that normal?

Re: Aux??

If you have a cd playing why are you pressing the cd button?
yuo are confusing the system by doing that.
it thinks you have an AUX plugged in so is looking for it.

Re: Aux??

Oh, God, please tell me... why people who don't need aux always have that and I am always so unfortunate not to have it?

Guys, you are lucky and have sound system of older version, which is equipped with AUX IN. In this case you can choose this while pressing SRC
You can buy a cable for only 10 bucks and connect any source you want (iPod, Cell-Phone).

But the newer version of head units doesn't have such functionality. And with this - you have only one chance to connect devices - CDC input. So you have to buy some kind of interface adapter like IceLink or Blaupunkt USB-bluetooth for 150 bucks!
