| Does blue&me support Ipod? Can anyone help. I have just bought a New Grande Punto Sporting and an Apple Ipod. When I have plugged this in to the USB it only works on and off and seems to cut out for no reason. Is his just a dodgy connection or does the blue and me not support Ipods? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

| Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? I does support ipods... dunno about the on/off though, as I haven't tried the usb ports yet... I did discover today though, that I can turn "shuffle" on by hitting the windows button, and sayin "shuffle on" but it still doesn't play the mps tracks randomly (mp3 discs) ... wonder how many more voice commands there are I don't know about?

| Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? Hi, Blue & me is not fully compatible with ipod or apple mac software, you need to convert the files to mp3 & download on to a memory stick. Blue & me is only fully compatible with certain windows based media players, fiat dealers should have a list of these, hope this helps.

| Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? MY ipod works perfectly in my GP, providing the tunes are stored on the ipod as mp3 and no other format, there should be no problem and you get the same functions as using a memory stick.

| Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? You can't give the stereo any voice commands as it is not blue and me. Only your phone and media player (ipod, memory stick etc) will respond to voice commands. There is a list of all voice commands in the blue and me book you should have got with your car.

| Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? then how come I can say "shuffle on" and the voice will then state that shuffle has been turned on... (and off if you wish of course...) if it's not random play on the mp3 discs, what is shuffle in relation to your phone?

| Re: Does blue&me support Ipod?
Blue and me (ie voice commands) only operates your mobile phone if it is connected and a media player which is connected through the usb port. The stereo (radio and cd player) cannot be controlled via voice commands. "what is shuffle in relation to your phone?"

| RAC 500W | Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? I think what he was getting at was what does shuffle mean when you refer to it being connected to a phone. The shuffle feature has nothing to do with the phone nor the stereo as such. It will not control a cd or the radio, only what is plugged in via USB. With regards to the iPod, i generally dont use one, i prefer memory sticks because they are smaller and i dont have to worry about leaving it in the car. However, when i do use iPods in it they work just fine, the only thing being they obviously dont play the m4p, m4a file, etc. Rich

| Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? It does play the Ipod songs as i converted them to MP3 but it seems to stop and start connection to the media player intermitently. And constatntly gets out sometimes when going over a bump but sometimes for no reason. I have tried it with 2 ipods and they have now both lost all connection even to a computer since being plugged in, in the car!!!!!

| RAC 500W | Re: Does blue&me support Ipod? That really doesnt sound right. It seems to me like its more of a fault than a compatibility issue. I could be wrong though. I have used several iPods and they have all worked fine, they have always been in the stupid folders e.g F12 but it still works. Rich
