Question Dualogic + Ignition Off = Beeping

Hey guys,

I have Dualogic gearbox, but unfortunately don't have handbook in language I understand (Russian or English).

Could someone explain me, why is it beeping on me, when I park and turn off ignition?

I stop the car.
Press brake pedal.
Shift gearbox to "N" position.
Pull handbrake.
Release brake.
Turn off ignition.

And It beeps on me five or six times while "Auto N" blinks on dashboard.
Why is that? It's very annoying!

Re: Dualogic + Ignition Off = Beeping

I'm pretty sure since it doesn't have a "P" position for parking you're supposed to leave it in gear when parked like a manual

Take a look at this thread:

Turbodiesel is right, here's the problem:

How are you finding the Dualogic? Good, bad, any problems?

Thanks for the hint. I saw this thread before buying the car, but forgot the content, sorry guys

But how can I leave in "1"? If I stop the car completely it disconnects the clutch, isn't it?

Good, overall.
Except moments when I step on gas to get more acceleration and in the same second it decides to shift up.
Also engaging/disengaging clutch while doing slow rear driving (Not a big trouble).
After all, I like it. Very good adaptive algorithm. Keeps more revs while driving up the hill. Shifts gears very smoothly during easy drive, but if you kick it down shifts very quick and hard!

Trust me - leave it in gear

Glad your gear changes are smooth - mine jerks when moving from first to second (http://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punt...cond-gear.html)

I'm confused - its 'clutchless' so you don't have to worry about engaging/disengaging..

I never downshift as it does it for me automatically - its the upshift that's fun

It can't be clutchless - I definetely feel on/off moments when I crawl backward on the parking lot.

By the way, I tried this:
Stop the car.
Press break pedal.
Pull handbreak.
Turn off ignition.
Release break.

This time it wasn't beeping
But how would I know in which gear it is when I left the car?

What I meant by 'clutchless' is there's no pedal for it - have a look at p19 of the link I posted earlier - T gives a fairly good description of it.

Depends which direction you were last going, or if the stick is in the middle, that's 1, if its bottom right, that's R
