rattle from seat belt cover

Anyone had a rattle from the drivers side seat belt cover on the 5 door GP?

Rattle is speed/road related and seat belt seems unaffected

On the 3 Door sporting there's a rubber-pad-like-thing to stop the passenger one rattling... has it fallen off Sharkrider? lol

Anyway back to the original question... I drive the three door though. However there's an unexplained rattle that seems to come from somewhere over my right shoulder while driving, I'll have to see if it's the seatbelt now (never thought it would be) Will let you know what my findings are...

Re: rattle from seat belt cover

My 3 door had an annoying rattle. It sounded as if it was seat belt area. Only on the drivers side. I took it to Bostons, it was a bolt on the door catch. The body shop guy had heard it before. It was in for a day and is now fixed.

Re: rattle from seat belt cover

I've taken rattles in a Fiat to be par the course, my current mk1 punto rattles and buzzes all over the place (although my theory is that it's the rest of the car rattling against the secure bits rather then vice versa), still not recieved my GP but depending on what rattles I might not bother getting it looked unless it's annoying.

It's those little noises that give a car character but then again I used to drive an old Panda and those little noises usually meant whatever was rattling hadn't fallen off!!!

Loud enough to be annoying, metal on metal and noticeable over bumps in the road
