1.9 JTD - could Fiat / Alfa parts be fitted from higher output engines?

I've noticed in another thread that VW TDi engines can be fittted with parts from similar engines with higher power outputs (e.g. air intake).

I realise that the 1.9 JTD 150 as found in Alfas etc is a 16V unit - and that the 130bhp JTD in the GP Sporting is 8V. Are there any more powerful 8V 1.9 JTD units out there and how did they get the extra power?
