Re: Footwell Lights

Hiding them is easy enough - I have them under the pass seat, 1 in the glovebox and another in the back between the seats. put the wires under the carpet (not mats).

Insurance is with......................

Re: Footwell Lights

why not hard wire them? use plugs too then everything is removable and is surely safer than cigarette lighter? dont hey get hot when they have a current running through them?

wire them to the door opening light on the ceiling? check guides for a how to, is genius

Re: Footwell Lights

Lol, but where would you hide them Smally?

Cig lighter is designed to have something plugged into, the only other way would be to wire up a 9v battery to switch and then to the lights, would need replacing / recharging but you wouldn't be touching any car electrics.

Tiz ok jk. - I got out of bed on the wrong side... again

Re: Footwell Lights

Erm you could hide them in the boot in a bag of spuds as u wud need to change them every 30min or so.
On the plus side they wud impress the girls as u cud say you are enviromently friendly.

Re: Footwell Lights

Use Ohms law......GP cig lighter circuit is 12v and fused at 20A........ You can have 1000 extra sockets in your car but you are limited to a total of 240w before the fuse blows.
