Lowering quote

£150 approx I have been quoted by my local fiat dealer (TJ Vickers) to lower my car on eibach springs.

Now with the GP being such a new car, I dont want any independant garage to touch it. Now, considering this is the dealer I bought the car from, would you say that is a steep quote?

Incidentally, after 6 months of searching for that 'perfect' alloy for my car, i.e ones that dont have that "aftermarket" look, I think I've reached a decision. They look similar to the panda 100hp alloys imo, and give a "smooth and blunt" look to the 7 prongs. I shall have in size 195/45/16 to keep things looking smart, and will be dropped on said above eibach springs:

Wheels will also have fiat centre caps, provided they fit

Opinions? (not that anyone will be able to change my mind)

Re: Lowering quote

Qoute sounds good but check which eibach springs they are puttin in.
wheels look nice could be standard on a fiat but a bit ordinary and prob a bit small.

but im sure it will look very nice

Re: Lowering quote

are there any good damper upgraded available? ie koni sachs etc? as i feel the sportings wpould benefit from better damping rathet than lower stiffer springs.

Re: Lowering quote

£150 is steep for just fitting springs IMO.

Re: Lowering quote

Wow, I got charged £80 for fitting from a proper mech. and thought it was bad!

Although, if I hadn't of been wasn't away my cousin + dad would do it for the usual price: 'Awk, never worry!'

Re: Lowering quote

£150 is abit steep for just fitting, i'm thinking of doing mine soon, but i'll do mine myself, easy enough. I'll do yours fenton, as your local, if mine are easy to do.
