Re: Insurance!!!???

You should declare all changes! And as already said depending on who your insured with will change how much of a premium you have to pay

Re: Insurance!!!???

If your car has alloys as standard, you dont need to declare the change

Re: Insurance!!!???

Yes you do have to declare them even if you're swapping alloys for alloys as the 17s are an optional extra and everyone who's even had an insurance quote will know that they ask about modifications including optional extras.

yes and no, if the car comes with alloys as standard this is included in the premium, however if you change the alloys to an upgraded size or even same size but different style even from the same manufacturer you need to disclose this to the insurers, it wont necessarily (ignore spelling) make a difference to the cost of your insurance but it keeps your insurance valid

Re: Insurance!!!???

Insurance companies see individuals who carry out major mods as a higher risk than those that dont. If you carry out mods and dont declare the fact, they are within their rights to withdraw cover and refuse to pay out. Its not what you do that matters, its the fact you have done it.

Re: Insurance!!!???

If you are going to get the 17" GP sporting wheels then you could also just play dumb and if the worst happens and you crash then just say that they were on the car when you brought the car and you didn't know they were different.

Re: Insurance!!!???

Insurance companies aren't dumb either! If you change something then declare it. Really worth risking loosing many thousands if not covered in the event of an accident because of undeclared mods?? I certainly wouldn't risk it! If you can't afford the higher premium then don't do the modification, an uninsured accident will cost alot more!!

Re: Insurance!!!???

Go with Quinn Direct. They allow any mods which don't effect engine performance. Class.
