You can do them all if you want including behind heater controls etc. IIRC these cars are using SMD LED which are tiny and need soldering onto the PCB board itself which is a bloody hard fiddly job need to be good at soldering.

sounds too much like hard work. is there an easier way, like putting blue acetate behind the dials or would hardly any light come through due to the leds being orange.

Re: blue dials HOW?

Would anyone mind being guinea pig for this one, I've been wanting this mod for ages, i really hate the orange dials in the GP, especially as my paint is blue and my interior is blue.

Post up some pics and a guide for it if you end up getting it done

Cheers,
Mark

Re: blue dials HOW?

The backing is not blue its the LEDS that make it blue.

Re: blue dials HOW?

The only place I could see doing it would be somewhere like a car audio place, and even if they'd do it, they'd have your pants down on the price aswell.

Or failing that, find a mate who is good at these things.

Re: blue dials HOW?

well in my old corsa they were bulbs that screwed out. Might be worth asking the seller if these are the same. Its worth noting that the bulbs will be blue and not the dials. They replace normal white bulbs, the dials have an orange filter on to make them look orange, this means that the light will be ALOT dimmer, and you wont even see the red lines at all, i know this cos i have done it! I would stay away!
