Gps 1.9 Induction Kit??

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has fitted an induction kit? Any problems. I take it that I would have to go for a universal kit. Does anyone know what diameter fitting i would need???

Thanks

Jon

Pointless. The money it would cost for a decent one get a ECU remap done for a 45bhp Increase.

You have put this in the wrong section too needs to be in "Grande Punto".

Don't get a universal one, completely pointless like chris said.

GSR are developing one at the moment, combined with a map it will give smoother power delivery and cleaner exhaust fumes. As far as gains in power go I couldn't comment as I do not know.

I was looking for a nice induction sound. Had a Civic Type R before and that sounded awesome with an HKS kit in the VTEC range!!

Was looking a an ECU remap. Have seen a kit that you fit on Ebay for about £70 that i might for for???

Don't expect a diesel induction sound to come anywhere near VTEC induction roar. Most petrols even struggle to obtain that!

Don't buy that kit off ebay, go to a specialist tuning company for your remap.

Yes fitting an induction kit to a diesel will do nothing but make the turbo sound a lot louder, and make a tsssh sound when you back off the throttle while on full boost .

Maybe you should have bought the T-jet .

Re: Gps 1.9 Induction Kit??

I wouldn't have got rid of the civic if it (1) Hadn't of been in a big crash and (2) was cheaper to run!!

Did think about the T-Jet but i do 25,000 a miles a year with my new job so needed a diesel!!

Definately thinkin about the remap for £199 now. Is it possible to fit a bleed valve??

Yes, but I wouldn't. Quite easy to damage a diesel turbo with them aparantly.

The tooling is nearly finished. This kit is the most problematic one I ever had to design. I am sure no competitor will even think of doing one.
