Re: First grande mod

2 buckets, a decent wash mit, and some good quality car shampoo should be your first purchase

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=4637

the GP's paint seems very soft i managed to make a right mess of mine when it was new using a car wash brush.. managed to polish it out but it took me ages,,

depends what you really want to do with it and how much you have to spend.. (dont forget some mods will affect parts of your warranty) so do your research first

Re: First grande mod

Unless you specify the amount of money you are wanting to spend on the mods, it is hard for us to give any advice.

If you are wanting some nice cheap mods, changing the indicator bulbs to Osram blue ones makes a big difference.

If you are looking to spend a bit more lowering the sporting by 40/30mm F/R looks really nice.

Just remember to show us what you end up doing

Re: First grande mod

Supersprint exhaust from front to back, GSR induction kit, Re-map, Sound Hardware upgrades, Lowering Springs, Strut brace. Just to name a few.

Re: First grande mod

cheers, id thought about upgrading the headlight bulbs for some osrams actually, and maybe changing the brake pads for something a bit harder to take the sharpness of them. got arund £200-£300 to spend. How much would the supersprint set me back?

Re: First grande mod

Supersprint exhaust system will use your whole budget and then some . But f**k me its worth it .

For your budget I would get a GSR induction kit to begin with as it has good results on your engine, I take it you got the 1.4 16v 95bhp?.

Re: First grande mod

Hmmm £200-£300......spend about £150-£170 on some Eibach lowering springs and the rest doing small, cheap mods. The springs will improve the ridiculous body roll that the GP suffers from throught the bends as well.

Well, thats what i would do in your situation anyway.

Yes its a custom engineered kit for that engine, and it does work makes an awesome noise too! .

Heres a youtube vid of one on a Mk2 Punto Sporting (very similar engine):-

And yes if it were me I would spend some on the GSR kit, and the rest on speaker upgrades etc, the ride really isn't as bad as people make out. But I agree should be next on the priority's .

Re: First grande mod

sounds good, i'll have to look into that, its got a nice standard engine note with it being so revvy so it should sound awesome with one of them on

Re: First grande mod

After your detailing products i'd go with what chris said, but put it on coilovers if possible.
