Re: Metal pedals

I completely agree, the rubber ones are no good and look a bit 'cheap' compared to the rest of the car.

The ones Fiat offer are supposedly for LHD versions only, shame really.

I'm still looking for a good set, let me know if you find some lol

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Metal pedals

I know there not OEM but MOMO do some very nicely styled subtle ones that suit the car well.

Re: Metal pedals

I was told when i bought mine that you could get metal pedals for it, id never buy metal pedals after having the ones on my 888 astra, they wrecked my white trainers with black marks from metal

Re: Metal pedals

Simple question to answer really... there is no reason?

The only thing I can think of is the shape of the pedal itself, changing ABC -> CBA could work, however it could reduce the gap between the peddles to below the legal 5 cm limit (Think it's 5?) Just a stab in the dark really so open to correction.

Off topic but,

Did you have the petrol turbo 888 or the newer diesel 888? and why did you change down to a GP out of interest. I love T8 astras and I would have thought it more of an upgrad to than a downgrade from?

Or do you still own the astra and have the GP aswell?

Re: Metal pedals

I ordered some for my GP off ebay and they just didn't fit full stop. Wrong shapes foot rest didn't pair up to where it mounts etc. Only way you can get proper fitting ones are on Ebay (rare as hens teeth for RHD) or when you order your car new as an option. This pissed me off as I decided to buy them after and realised I couldn't .

Re: Metal pedals

This Just In...

Was at the dealers today and asked them about it, they can get the RHD versions in for me at £35, obviously I'll be paying cost price as I saw the dealer discount print out :P
Seriously though, £35 isn't too bad, and they come with a metal Left foot rest. I'll see about ordering them and let you know the results.
