Re: which fogs for black gp

Hey guys,

Quick question, are there any warranty issues with wiring in some fogs onto a dynamic or active? I went to my dealer who said that it would invalidate my warranty if I hade them fitted...

Anyhoo, I thought this seemed a wee bit ridiculous, anyone shed some light?

Cheers,
Mark

So if i took it to the dealer to fit them, there shouldnt be a problem then?

He said that they couldnt wire them in for me either, how useless is my dealer!?!?

Point taken, however, i checked about botht the suspension, and the alloys and they said yeah no problem providing that those parts do not cause a problem, if they did then the warranty would cover it. But for the fogs they just said it owould void it straight away. It took me by surprise anyway (stupid dealer )

Re: which fogs for black gp

if you really are concerned about your warenty Ring do a "wire free" kit which has a remote control unit so you dont need wires through the bulkhead, and you only need 3 conections 2 direct to the battery and one to the side light supply if you take it from the bulb holder inside the headlamp (under the rubber cover and fetch the wire out between the rubber and the circular hole its an easy way to hide that you have been connected to the cars electrics

Cheers, I'll bear this in mind. I need to order them this weekend as my car is going into thegarage to be fixed an i would like to kill 2 birds with 1 stone an get the fogs fitted at the same time (im useless with cars, just about fitted my own alloys lol)

Fair enough you probably dont want to be playing with the cars electrics on your own then because things like this can happen.......
http://www.fiatforum.com/punto/12401...ssionally.html

if your getting them done by a garage get them to do it properly as per mine and T's info/guides and not the ring kit it works fine but there is no warning light so you cant tell if teh fogs are on or off and its not the neatest of ways....

(im rather fortunate that i did A-Level electronics and enjoyed the geekier subjects )
