| Re: alloy size Hi, I have a gp with 215/35/18s fitted with Eibach lowering springs that lower approx 50mm all round. I think the size of the wheels and the height of the car is now ideal. Ok, it is a rougher ride over the back roads and over speed humps, but on the other hand the car corners much better and sticks to the road like glue. Going along normal A roads and motorways, you won't notice a major difference in the ride comfort. These wheels don't scrape on the arches or rub on full lock, even after lowering. If you do go for 18s, you will need to get it lowered, otherwise you will have the 4x4 look. In theory you can fit 19s, but i think that would be too ott.

You can now buy an aftermarket set of alloys for the price of 4 quality tyres with tyres included on them. I have used budget tyres on mine for a while and they don't seem to be much difference in them. Have had problems with aftermarket alloys yourself - please enlighten us. | ||||
