GP Front Spoiler

Has anyone had any experience of fitting the front spoiler (Fiat Part No. 50901350) is this an easy DIY job? any advice would be great . I had the rear one fitted when i bought the car. wish now i had the front at the same time My dealer wants £330 + Vat to supply paint and fit is this reasonable?

With the info that Chris has just supplied i personally think that is steep. You will be paying more for fitting and painting than the valance itself, stupid.

I personally would say a good bodyshop would only be charging around the £120-£130 mark to fit and paint that.

Thanks, Just looked at fiat web site they quote £144.02 Inc Vat to supply. might just buy it , get it painted and fit it myself. if its easy enough to do .

It all depends on whether it needs blending or whether its a perfect fit just to be painted over.

the whole bumper has to be taken off its then bonded and clamped to the bumper then there is a 12 hour curing time then its sprayed my car was in the bodyshop for 3 days when i got it done just after i purchased it i paid £120 but he was a mate.professional body shop i reckon will charge not much less than £200.........

There is your answer then, not a DIY job. Ive got 1 word about the prices people seem to be quoting...robbery.

yeah i totally agree with you rich ncrc bodyshop charged me £220 for a wing mirror and a wing and they aint exactly big and that was at a reduced rate because the rest of my car was getting sprayed........

Yeah not good. Im lucky because a mate of mine owns a bodyshop but i still obviously have to pay for the paint if nothing else. Just goes to show though how much they do make.

This means then that in theory you paid about £100-£110 for it to be fitted and painted which i think is about right.

£250 Supplied and fitted seem a reasionable price. was that at a fiat dealer or an independant body shop.

was arranged by Caledonia fiat at Oldham prior to delivery.
