Another idea to make the GP look like that Abarth

OK I found this pic on Google Images and wondered how easy it would be to paint the front of the gp sporting with black paint to look like this. It gives it an almost Audi front end look which I think is rather nice,

I think I will need to mask off the areas I want to paint, then rub it down a little with fine wet and dry to remove the Lacquer. Then spray it with black. I am not sure if it is a Matt or shiny finish, its kinda hard to see it on the low res photo but I think that for not much effort I could make it look good.

Obviously there isn't much I can do with the Fogs but I think the black front is the main stand out feature.

Any ideas or suggestions

Re: Another idea to make the GP look like that Abarth

i was thinking about buing the lenses off ebay and trying to lightly tint them as you would to the rear lights, not sure if it would work though!

i know you keep saying that i am making it look like a different car, but i personally feel that the front end of an audi is extremely nice so i thought i would try it out on my car.

well yeah each to their own and all that. i like a bit of variety for sure. its just when i look at the front of my car as it is now, its stunning. even if some mods and stuff still look good, im not sure if they compare to the origonal.

yeah i like Audi's very very much especially the a3 2.0 T.but they are a lot wider than the gp so hence they suit the wider grill mate.if i wanted to change the front i would wait and buy an abarth front bumper and accessories.or get the nfspd 1

Re: Another idea to make the GP look like that Abarth

yeah but i personally haven't got that sort of money to be spending on the new bumper or the extra insurance at the moment so thought that the chrome strips would do the job for a while!

I'm biased, but I think subtle differences to cars can make the entire lot seem unique, I mean take the Mini, (have one in the garage so no silly remarks lol) you'd be hard pushed to find two mini's exactly the same - Obviously two standard mini's dont count (atleast the VIN number would be different )
