Re: latest mods to GPs...trial and error post.

these ones really have impressed me:
changed all bulbs which now look a lot better, nice sound system, tinted windows if you haven't got them already, i have an induction kit which does not improve bhp greatly but sounds great.
have done the rest below in my sig, none have gone wrong, yet!

Re: latest mods to GPs...trial and error post.

Agree with the bulbs, they make a massive difference for such a small modification.

My main modification is obviously the painted black wheels, i think they look great but thats personal preference.

had a good look at yours in the carpark at the remap...... I think it looks good with black wheels... don't think it would work if it was any other colour than red though!

did you do them yourself? what did you use?

Thanks mate. I agree with you, i would never have even contemplated it had the car not been red, dont think it would look right.

No i didnt, a friend of mine owns a garage that specialises in paintwork and wheel refurbishment so he did them for me, as well as the calipers. The wheels arent your standard finish, instead of being laquered afterwards it was mixed into the paint in order to steer clear of a glossy finish as that is what i didnt want. The calipers are good old hammerite .

Am I the only one who hasn't modded? Just out of curiosity what age groups do you guys fall into? I'm starting to think I'm too old to be "hip" enough to mod my car..

I think age definitely plays a part - seems like most GP owners (on this forum anyway) are in their late teens/early twenties and with lots of money to spend!

Im sure there are plenty on here who havent modified their cars. Im 20 so i fit in with the others really. For me its about my car being different. When i bought it i said i was going to touch it (deadly) and then i saw more and more GPs on the road so i had to make mine different, make it stand out.
