(S) best thing to clean exterior plastic???

Went over the plastic panel where the windscreen wiper is when i was Diamond brighting me car the other day and left a white smear. Anyone know what the best stuff to clean the exterior plastic with??

Dont normally touch the plastic bits and only posted as it looks a mess because its only on about 6 to 8 inches.got told to Diamond bright the plastic as well but once i realised it was cack i stopped. Now have white smudge over half of it.

even in my book a bit harsh. look the guy was only lookin 4 some of consructive advise ,bout black plastic now i cant resist
some coment now & again [i should know better at my age] YES I KNOW......
silcon spray is the answer. great stuff. lasts 4 ages

AUTOGLYM external trim dressing will get rid of it, but i have found that once you start using it, it traps dust and grime on where you treated and looks WORSE than when you started after a few days.

Don't know if anyone else has had this happen.

thing you will have to watch out for when using these kind of products is the smearing when you next wash the car, my GP is black, so it shows all the smearing. have a look on detailingworld.co.uk, there is lots of product reviews if you have a quick look around the site.

Im just glad i decided to check it before i went any further. Gave it a good scrub today and a lots come out. Thank fk the misses hasnt seen it lol

I wouldn't be surprised if there was only a bit of white stuff, but that's major!

bloody hell!!! i normally use auto glym tyre dressing as it dries and dont smear as much.

Peanut butter will get rid of it , no joke,
