Re: painting brake calipers

i have rust on my rear drums. cant see the calipers atm, stupid 15" steelies.

wheeld getting changed in 2 weeks so im gonna do mine then!

EDIT:

oh and do it yourself! tin of hammerite, thin coats to build up a finish, and will also resist brake dust.

venomco has done this with custom abarth logos and it looks sweeet

Re: painting brake calipers

lol there's my name again.

Yeah Hammerite is the only way to go, resists rust and brake dust

It was easy to do, got all i needed from halfords, including a jack. Took two coats each wheel with great results.

Here's some pics to show you.

Re: painting brake calipers

Yeah my rear drums have rust on them too, I was gonna do them in silver hammerite and I was going to use red hammerite for the brake calipers. Is it a hard job to do?

I feel so guilty lol.

But seriously, it broke

Matty, it's not too hard, aslong as you have someone on hand to serve you a cup of tea / coffee. Its just the waiting thats painful, or buy 4 axle stands and do all the wheels at the same time.

Re: painting brake calipers

Wouldnt there be any warranty issues? Ie i'm sure if you had problems with callipers fiat would say it was because of paint contaminations.
