So you just plugged it into the 'power plug' in the boot? How does it know to turn itself on when the boot is opened, and off when its closed?

yeh! looks pretty cool! nahh, i dont have the power plug! its spliced from the rear boot light power supply. running 12v at 5w. the light can handle up to 7w so its fine!! as you know the boot light turns off when the boot is closed, hey presto! so does this

)What did you use to have the light fixed in place - self adhesive tape?

Not at all Was surprised when i found the supply!! yeah, i used velcro backing strips, although if you do want to remove the light, self adhesive tape can leave the parcel shelf carpet matted and sticky.

| SNAP! | Re: Hooked up new light Cheers for the info.. are these lights street legal in the UK? Not too sure about them here locally as I remember hearing stories where people got issued defaults for having them (e.g. underneath the car). But then again they're widely available in shops so I guess they're legit..?

| Re: Hooked up new light I've just fitted a power point in the rear, the hole is there and so is the plug from the wiring loom, just buy a spare power point from fiat,(about £9.50 inc vat) dismantle the bulb bit, plug it in,it fits into the hole and hey presto, you have an extra power point,I use it for my laptop and fone.
