Re: Strut brace, anyone got one ?.

speaking from previous experience they do work... the definantly stop flexing a bit and stiffen up the front end, and help when cornering, but they can ber very bad in a front end accident as they send the force of the impact along the bar and can often wreck the other wing aswell... thats why insurance companies dont like them very much... but on the whole, they are very good... especially when in conjustion with the car being lowered. hth john.

powerflex or similar bushes are ment to do a better job and have the bonus of being almost invisable, although dearer to fit etc. Have a look at the strut brace thread in the Bravo section,

Re: Strut brace, anyone got one ?.

I have looked at the OMP one on ebay and I can't see how it would fit the sporting without drilling holes in the bulkhead and god only knows what you attatch the front bit to,cos the only thing it comes anything close to would be made of plastic ( not near where the bonnet catch is ). Have a look at the strut and then under your bonnet and see if you can make any sense out of it,strutbracer says it doesn't need extra bolts cos they are already on the car,????????????????????.
