Hey, just writing a guide to help all you Grande Punto owners who have Blue & Me but want to upgrade to an aftermarket headunit with losing the B&M functions.

The setup I have at the moment is an Alpine Ida-x001 with a Connect2 stalk adaptor which lets me use the steering wheel controls with the headunit.

First off you will need to see if you have a spare aux in the back of whatever headunit you have. I used the cd changer input which also works as an aux in on Alpine headunits & brought the input cable from ebay which looks like this.

& also I had one of these laying about (3.5mm male to rca) to attach to the one above because it wasn't long enough.

So I cut off the male end of the cable above which exposes three wires, two insulated (Left,Right) & one uninsulated (Ground) I stripped them back & crimped on mini spade connectors on to each wire, which looked like this.

Then I took out the headunit

Found the Blue and Me connector (The yellow mini iso) & plugged the male spade connectors into the corresponding female connector on the iso then plugged the other end into the cd changer/aux input.

Then popped the headunit back in & hey presto.

The only problem I have is that my headunit doesn't switch to aux in when the phone rings but if you have your phone on your going to hear/feel it anyway then just swtich it to aux in but other headunit may automatically switch to it but I don't know which ones do.

If you have the stalk adaptor you may wonder how you stay in the phone menu (as it always sends you out when you press the phone button) you just hold the phone button then press down then it quickly just goes into last calls then goes the main menu :) & the phone button still works if someone is calling you.

I hope this helps & sorry if Ive made the guide too confusing but I can answer questions if your not to sure what to do.(y)
