Phoned up the Harvester yesterday and asked about their Xmas meal deal, bookings are only taken for Monday - Friday, not weekends, but if we did want to have it on a Saturday night without booking we would only have to wait between 15 -25 minutes ( or as long as it takes other customers to eat) for the tables to be sorted out, it's based on a first come, first served and we could sit in the bar or garden while we wait ( if it's not to cold ) so Saturday 16th December could still be a possability?
I also re- read my post No.232, The Express Holiday Inn at Coventry (A45) room deal is £39.00 a room plus continental style breakfast, is from 15/12/06 - 01/01/07 (excluding 31/12/06) even though this doesn't say any of this on their bookings site but I do have a email from them confirming this, so what do people think?
Friday 15th December or Saturday 16th December?
The choice is everybodys?

Either is fine for me. I guess the Friday would be good for not having to wait around for a table, but makes it more difficult for people to leave work, get home and changed AND drive the however long it will take them to get there. So from that point of view, Saturday is better as most people would be off, making it easier for them to get over at a more leisurely pace. Just we have to wait around for a table, which is not a major heartache really.

Mrs Dave, if a significant number want to book a room, will they not shave something off the £39? I can nip down and find out once we know how many want to stay, if you like?
