I would love to do this. So you can pencil my name in. It would take some organising of course, but that would be pretty epic and definitely something I'd be interested in.

That is an awesome idea you can count me in. my brother has been around there in Italy and said he wished he brought his car as they have some really good roads.

Nice one dude theres still pretty much over a year left but that gives me time to get prices and people on board and get it all organised ill put you down on the list wanna get as many gp's going get a massive group pic of em all for the club

Re: anybody interested........... please read!

I say keep conversation going here for now, just edit the title. Then, when more information (ie dates, prices, plans ect ect) we can add an event.

This has the potential to be really something, and i'm definitely up for penciling this into my calendar for next summer. If we can tie the trip in with an internation Punto weekend that would absolutely amazing. Certainly once in a lifetime thing, hell if we can get enough people have a mini FF stand ;) (why not). DeMonello, i thank you for that suggestion, truely brilliant! Maybe 2014 will have some English attending Ahhhh

I can't stress how up for this i am!

Just noticed we'd have to drive through Switzerland.....and the Alps - Boom!

I don't know the chances of this just being a thread for an idea that never happens, but i want to go soooooo bad!

Shall i start packing now is the question.....

But this is an event which should be going in the events section ;) hence we have a general events discussion section so you can thrash out the specifics  once puntoboii sorts it I can merge the comments above into it ;)

Ace. I can't help too much on the helping organise, but i'll help in anyway possible if its possible. Money is the bigggg thing. Working out fuel, petrol stations, places to stay, charges for tolls, charges for the tunnel, breakdown in emergency (with enough of us someone hopefully is technical enough). Sooo many things, but theres plenty of time to work it all out.

As for numbers, don't worry to much about waiting for enough people to join it and say "yeah, i'll go". As 8/10 will say that and then not go, thus why these things fail. To be fair, it just needs to be put up and let the organisation over the coming months swindle people into joining up, and helping. Its one of those things its only going to succeed if it snowballs over the coming months, follow?

Theres enough dedicated GP owners out there to give this a go. Even 3 cars is great, be fun to see how many actually do this. Photo's of our GP's in the Alps, in Italy....once in a lifetime. So So So So So going to be worth it!

Also, doubling up and doing the Punto International meet in 2014, in Italy. Just wow.

Well I can get 44mpg average and 520miles on a full tank as for tolls my dad travels abroad all the time so I can get latest prices via him so thats not a problem :) and like you say even if 3 go its still ginna be an awesome experience Andy Monty change it to an event and ill keep it updated :) and if anyone wants me to ill set up a facebook event to so you can keep updated there to :)

Re: anybody interested........... please read!

I get 39mpg according to my fuelly thing although my car's ECU states closer to 42-44mpg, and between 330-380 miles per tank of fuel. So i'd have to fuel up more often :D

+1 on the facebook thing, always handy.

And you'll have to create and event thread in the event section. Thats what Andy means, once its set-up he mentioned he can merge the posts from here into it, which is cool i didn't realise he could do that.
