i plan to set a meet at the top of kirkstone pass in the lake district later in the summer this year when the weathers good as there's a large free carpark up there so thought i would start this for everyone's opinions and to see what kind of intrest i'll get

theres some lovely roads up to the top from either side depending were people come from and who could resist a trip to the lake district

Sounds like it'd be good for a photoshoot.

Mate from work got up there a week or so back with AON, sounded fun.

Think by summer we'll be minus the snow they had though.

Just watch for clashes with any big shows, oh and the Spa/Nurburgring trip.

well this was about a month ago and as far as i could get in the bravo about half a mile from top a steap hill stopped me from the windermere side and just a short wile after this point there was a huge drift that had covered the plows work you can see how the roads been cut back in the snow up there was realy realy deep the fields were brimmed to the height of there surrounding walls and the wind was intence blowing the car and stiring up the snow it was funny cos i turned up back in non snowy windermere with a car covered in layers of snow and sleet my mates couldnt figure out how i'd achieved the snow cover

and yea closer to the time i'll probably find dates best for the majority of people intrested
i might see if i can get some other groups forums involved i have some mates in cumbria vag

I'd come, though probably not in my not-ready Fiat :( Last time we had a Lakes meet no Fiats turned up, which was interesting :) Need to wait for them to repair the road first though, last time I was on the 592 there were lights just before Gelnridding as it was falling into the water (not to mention the bit that was shut that's now re-opened because a load of rock fell down onto it)

We can come depending on days and times etc. Any excuse for a trip to the Lakes :)

excelent looks like people can't resist a trip out to the lakes lol

i'll likely be very fleible on dates but it's a good few months now before i start planning so keep an eye out for it anyone in here i will pm much closer to the time to make them aware of final plans must make the pub at the top aware they might want to stock more fish and chips lol

That'll be a yes, depending on shifts. Following on from what JFL said, I think there might be a campsite at the top of the Kirkstone Pass.....or.....possibly.....an.....other.....pass.

Anyway there's a campsite at the top of some pass in the lake district.

camping overnigh could be an option as it is a reasonably lengthyish drive and the last camping adventure was fun :D

Some of us stayed at waterside house farm last time we had a weekend meet. :)
