peak district meet

there are a few of us from around that region wanting to do a drive in the peak district as there is some very nice roads and scenic spots with ideal opportunities for photos etc.

would anyone be up for it?

if we make it on a weekend then more people should be free, and at least if we go within the next month or so there will be daylight and there should be less traffic as well

im not so sure of that area so if anyone can suggest a pub or somewhere to meet it would be great

Im up for it, by looking at the map below I would say meeting up somewhere like Castleton, seems pretty straight forward to get to from The M1 side, only know the Manc side...

Hmm where abouts in the peaks?. Do you mean up by Alston etc?. If So I agree it has to be one of the best (unfortunatly most dangerous) driving roads in britain . I went up there over Xmas and nearly got stuck in a snow storm

You could do a North-South or South-North run, say,from Macclesfield-Cat & Fiddle-Buxton-Matlock-Sheffield-Castleton and then through Huddersfield up towards Skipton and up on to North Yorks. Moors or the South Lakes. Or vice-versa.
