Alpha & Yapps, Cardiff.

I have a Coupe 20v Turbo which recently chewed up an auxiliary belt and spewed bits of the belt into the cam gearing area (a common fault with the Coupe) this in turn knocked the timing out. The local Fiat dealer (Ashmoles of Swansea) wanted to book 14 hours labour to reset the timing at a cost of approx £1,000.

There is special tooling required to complete the work. The local dealer refused outright to hire out the tooling to me. After a few phone calls I found a garage in Cardiff that specialise in Fiat/Alfa they are called Alpha & Yapps. The workshop manager there is called Paul who gladly lent me the tooling free of charge for the day.

The job took me 4 hours to complete and included cam belt change! So much for the 14 hours the local dealer wanted to charge. I have never worked on a Fiat engine before so if i can do it in 4 hours those guys could probably knock one out in 2-3 hours!
