Thumbs down Gsr

First of all let me state that I am not commenting on, or including the induction kits supplied by GSR in my opinion they look very nice. It is a non-recommendation of his services. Be careful if you are buying one however, as it has been known for people not to receive everything they should have.

My reasons for not recommending GSR are as follows:

• They lied to me about completion times, work been done etc…
• They damaged my car and my tools
• I actually had to go and help finish the work off myself
• Didn’t carry out the work they said they did

Firstly, my car was damaged in more than one area. My front headlight had a hole smashed in the top and the whole lens was cracked. Only the Cover was actually holding it in place. The interior of my car was a total state. It was used as a store for parts with no protection on any of the seats/carpets, resulting in numerous dirt and oil stains. A mat was also taken from the car and never came back. It was also used as a bin with litter everywhere. I accidentally left a universal tool kit in the back of the car when it was dropped off with a socket set. When the car was collected the majority (at least half) could not be found, and a good few items were damaged inside. Why my tool kit was even used in the first place does ask questions. There were also numerous scratches left in the paintwork where general carelessness around the car had taken place. Also approx 10 days after I got the car back, it was found to have had all but one of the gearbox to engine bolts removed, resulting in the car being un-drivable and dangerous.
The second Reason I would not recommend GSR is because I actually had to go down and help finish my car off myself. I spent at least 2 solid days helping put bits back together because it was taking so long with no sign of being completed.
Finally, GSR outright lied to me from the very first day right up to two months later on basically every account. I was first told the car would take around 10-14 days from drop off to pick up. After the 10 days I was told it was nearly done but would be a bit later. Then 2/3/4/5/6/7 weeks later I was told exactly the same thing. There is no way in hell that on any of those weeks he thought it would only be a few more days till completion. I was also lied to about the actual work being done. It is my opinion, along with that of members of the forum, the car community and independent specialists that no work was carried out. There are several facts that help support this claim.

• The car made no bhp or torque gains on an independent RR
• Racing from numerous standing/rolling starts up to top end against cars which have not been modded one bit throughout my modding, the car has not once gained any more than it ever did.
• The car has lost top end, and pull higher up the revs.

The argument here is obviously that such and such is wrong. That bit is at fault, as LTG has said. But the facts remain, GSR had no idea what the problem was and offered no advice whatsoever on the remedy. And after part after part being blamed, more simply cannot be blamed for the lack of power, as you can only look foolish enough swearing blind on functioning parts.

Basically to sum up, I was lied to, stolen from, and had to pay to work on my own car, for no gain what so ever.

People say he was doing it to me a favour, but he wasn’t. He tunes cars; I took my car to be tuned and gave him quite a fair bit of money, that isn’t a favour that’s business. People also say I paid such a low price I should be grateful, but All I had done was a new head gasket put in which should be 250 max, never mind double that. Besides he explained the work to be carried out and gave me a price, whatever price he chose was his own choice no-one else, if he does undercut himself that is neither my fault nor concern.

Re: Gsr

I must say I didn't realise your problems with them were quite as bad as that. Fair enough comment though.

FFs, well done on that, im not up for slagging matches but to have it deleted becasue beau thinks CaL is a 'Knob' doesnt really justify sharing his opinions with the rest of the forum. As i said when i reported this too, spome people have problems with the work i do and if thats the case id like them to be aired so things could be made better, situations were rectifed
