Thumbs down Fiat dissappear from Leicester

Leicester was left without a Fiat dealer last year when Reg Vardy closed down. End of last year Stratstone/Evans Hallshaw on Foundry Square, Melton Road, Leicester opened up an Alfa/Fiat fanchise.

Went to look at new Panda 100HP about two weeks ago, very impressed with car and dealership, go back today and Alfa/Fiat franchise gone. Saleswomen said they are no longer selling new Alfa's or Fiat's, very curt as well.

What the hell is going on no Fiat Dealers in Leicester or Nottingham only Sunwin car supermarket in Derby left!

Fiat will dissappear altogether before long

John

Perhaps more people should get behind them insteard of constantly slagging them or as you say there will come a point when Fiat might turn around and pull the plug on the UK.

maybe fiat uk are putting into motion the idea of taking bad franchises back, and better supporting the ones that do well?

Re: Fiat dissappear from Leicester

Well the Reg Vardy one in Leicester wasn't a good one but I believed they were doing good business I certainly bought two new Fiats's from them in last 4 years.

I'm only lamenting the dissappearance of dealers as makes it harder to buy new models. I have owned 10 Fiats and have three at present. When I buy another new one I will go to either JCS Kegworth of Grays of Warwick as two of the best indepent dealers. It is just for new prospective Fiat owners, they won't buy if they have to travel too far.

I'm hoping to have a response from Fiat UK soon as to their intentions for a new franchised dealer in Nottingham.

Cheers

Thought they moved to the Ford site on Belgrave gate. Could be back to what happened when Pendragon pulled out of the M25.

Typical though, a city the size of Leicester with a loyal Fiat following being stuffed by the dealer. 'bout time people of Leicester wrote to Fiat uk to express their dissatisfaction at the quality of dealer network in the city.

Write to 'uncle Arnie' to buy a garage there as hes got most Fiat places north of the border.

Re: Fiat dissappear from Leicester

Fiat need to get their finger out and stop building ****ty cars. My Stilo has had countless problems lately and it's at the stage where am gonna trade it in. Everyone i talk to always ask why did u buy a Fiat? The styling and that is good but the build is atrocious and reliability is awful aswell. Fiats head office needs to get a grip aswell and actually start caring about customers more aswell as they r awful to deal with and don't listen to u at all.

Rover tried the closing down of bad franchises and look where it got them, me personally after my dealings with fiat makes me hope they do go down the pan as i will never buy another Fiat again after dealing with them and Reg Vardy Fiat of Glasgow

Lol everyone has different opinions, me personally i've never had any problems with Ford. My old Fiesta only ever had one problem in the year and a half i'd had it and the 2 Reg Vardy Ford garages i used gave me amazing service and couldn't help me enough, wish i could say the same for Reg Vardy's Fiat
