E Tyres

I've used this company three times now as they are always the cheapest & easiest. But today I had my spare replaced as it is worn, from being on car previous. Anyway the guy did it and pointed out on returning to me from van that the rim has a slight dent in the outside, but nothing to worry about as balanced fine! Said wasn't there and its on the inside so not from kerbing, but he said it was! Not much I can do here I reckon as it may have always been there for all I know as its only very slight dent on inside side of rim and its just a it was, wasn't argument!

He advised bang it out with a mallet, is a slight dent in the rim safe? He said it was but he would if he did it! Its just very slight out of line on the inside rim.

Hope its OK for MOT! What is the position re spares in MOTs do they have to be legal? As now days many cars come with a tube of tyre weld?

Re: E Tyres

You dont require a spare tyre to pass an MOT. If it is present it must comply and be legal. If your MOTis soon and your that worried about it just remove it for the purposes of your MOT and then to be safe get it checked later by reputable tyre specialist or FIAT.
